The Scariest Week of My Life...

Hello Family and Friends.
Well this week was the scariest week for me and I will let you know what happened.
Well we were doing service with a sister in the branch. We were raking leaves and everything and a guy came and started talking to the Elders. They were having a contact with him and they put a time and date to go visit him. Everything was normal and I started to talk to him too, because if he is going to be a future investigator, we need to play nice. He went away and that was it. We finished the service project and then walked home. When we got to the market the Elders called us asking if we have seen one of thier plaques, we didnt have it so we went back to the house of the sister to look for it. Later on, the Elders called again and told us that someone broke into their house and stole a lot of things. (This is not normal here in Guatemala) They asked their neighbors for any informtion and they told them that there was a guy about 50 years old asking where the SISTER MISSIONARIES lived. They told them that we live close to the church. He asked in specifically for ME. The Canchita, which is the American.... And then left and started to look for us. He was walking around Tactic looking for me so I was put on house bound in the house of the branch president all day and since then I have had nightmares every night because I dont know what is going to happen.
That happened and so we have been keeping it chill this week. We didnt get to work a lot but we have lots of plans to do so this week.
We had some great activities with the sister missionaries and everything.
I am studying a lot of the Restoration and I love learning about it. It is perfect.
That is what happened and I would really like your prayers this week. I might have an emergency change... that is something that I dont want.
I love you all and be very careful and dont play too much with shaving cream jejeje.

Week of STRESS

Hey family! How are you guys. This week will be quick as well because time! This week was the most stressful week that I have had but also with a lot of success. WE had a huge problem with some of our investigators and they all blammed me because I am not like the sister missionary that left this past change. Its been hard but you know, I am getting use to it and I am getting use to practicing my patience.
WE had a baptism this week and he is so ready to be a missionary. He was kind of scared to be baptized but afterwards he started crying and he knew that it was the right thing to do.
I am so thankful to be out here as a missionary and I am seeing miracle after miracle here.
The area, mom and dad, is pretty townish. Our area is paved mostly and there are lots of cars and people. I am in a pretty rich area and that means that there is always free food in the houses. Its a branch here and they are great. I love it here, I think I might finnish my mission here.
I love you all!

Week SABER!

FAMILIA Y AMIGOS!!!
This week was a lot of fun and with a lot of miracles. We are working really hard with our investigators that we have and I hope that everything works out with them. This week we had a really powerful lession with our investigator that has a baptism date for this Sunday. He is really confused because he thinks that he needs to move to the captial but we talk to him and we are pretty sure that he is going to stay to figure things out. Something that happened is that he offered a prayer with us there and he was crying thanking us for the way that we taught him and that he knows that we are angels of god. I was crying and also my companion.
I am so thankful for all that I am doing here. We are working really hard and I am so excited to keep going.

Well I dont have a lot of time because I was email

chatting with grace and mom... sorry!
LOVE YOU!!!

Changes

Hello there family!
Well I am in a new area (TacTic) with a NEW LANGUAGE!!!!
Its crazy here. I dont even know what I am doing here..... like the new language that I have to learn is really hard and I dont understand it. Its called pocom.... ITs really hard.
My new companion is named Hermana Chamorro. She is from Nicaragua and she is a fire cracker. She just got done with her training and is a great missionary. Right now we have 6 baptism dates and they are all families! I love families!! We get a long really great but its hard here. The area is great and I love it but all of the investigators that we have loved the old missionary that was here and its hard to have them open up to me, its hard but I am making it all work out.
I learned a lot in the Book of Mormon this week because my companion was throwing up so I used that time to be able read. It was great. I am almost in 2 Nephi and I started this week. Its great. I am using this time to mark all the times where it talks about Jesus Christ. ITs perfect.
Today I played Soccer for real today since I was in bed rest and it felt so great. I love it. I made 4 goals all in a row. I am improving so Spencer, Val, Grant, and Dad... Look out. This Guatemalan is coming home soon.... :)
Well I love you all and I hope that you have a great week!
Stay good!

Some Great Experiences

Hello there.
Today I am so very thankful.
This week was a week that was wonderful and I just wanted to share with you guys a great experience that I had. We were in a lesson and the sister started to yell at us.. My companion and I were trying to teach about the God Head and she didnt want to listen to us. So the spirit told me very softly, ¨Close your scriptures and just testify.¨ I started to testify that there is a God that loves us and that His Son came down to pay for our sins. I just shared my simple testimony. The whole atmosphere changed and it was amazing. She changed and we I started to testify, she started to cry and the spirit was so strong. She didnt accept to be baptized but we are slowly working on that.

Another great experience that I had is for FHE we had a huge get together with about 4 families. We had a great lesson by a RM and then we started playing some games. The rule was that if you lost in the game you had to do a dare. It was a really hard game so I was for it. I lost.... twice... so I was very lucky enough to get the dare of walking like a chicken.... It was so embarrassing... But we recoreded it and we will see it when I get home.

We made some REALLY yummy pancakes and we put nutela and peaches, oreos, bananas, and ice cream. It was really good but after I couldnt eat anything or even really walk.

I am excited to talk to you guys this week. I sent Grant, my dear loving brother all the information. Mom, to answer your question. I need more time to think about it. I am going to fast again and I hope that I will get my answer this time.

I love you all and I am so thankful for this chance to be a missionary. I love my Savior and I love the blessings that I have gotten from being out here.

Love you all,

week 55:

Hello!
This week was a long week but also a great week! With a lot of miracles but also set backs.
The first miracle is we were walking and taking pictures, the one with me and the school jejeje, and there were two guys that looked really mean. They started to walk towards us and I have a prompting to walk towards them... I was so scared and I didnt know why but one thing that I have learned here is that we need to listen to the spirit. We walked towards them and They were going to rob us but the guy that was next to me tried to lift up his arm to take my camera, which was in my backpack, but he couldnt. And his face looked up and his eyes got really big. I didnt know what happened but a great feeling of peace and love surrounded me. I know that in the moment we were protected my angels. I am so thankful for that and I will never forget it.

One of baptism dates got moved up to this saturday and so we were preparing him to be baptized but then I had the feeling that he isnt ready. So we had a lesson with him and just asked questions. I just asked him like if he believed in God and everything and he felt and sounded ready but then the Spirit told me that I need to ask him if he feels like he is worthy to recieve the Priesthood and then he kinda freaked out and said that he isnt ready because he doesnt feel ready. I know that there is something that is stopping him but I dont know what it is. I am going to fast with my companion to find out and I am excited to get my answer.

I gave a talk in Sacrament meeting and I wasnt nervous at all. The ward members were all making fun of me and everything but when I got up there I dont even know what I said but there were a couple of people that told me that they loved my talk, I just smile and said thank you becuase I didnt know what I said.... hahaha It was pretty funny.

But this is what I had planned to talk about. There is a talk about Decisions For Which Ive Been Grateful For. Its a beautiful talk. And I am so thankful to for it. You guys need to read it, I will try to send it to you guys. My companion has it and she told me that she will send it but I dont know if we will have time or if she remembered.... hahahaha.

I am thankful for this work that I am in and there is a quote that I love that says, ¨Making friends with mission mortality means accepting slamming doors and canceled appointments, the blazing son or freezing cold. You just smile and say ¨This is a mission¨.¨ I loved and it is so true!

Also this week we found 25 news in just 3 days. It was perfect and I am so happy to be doing this work. I love my Heavenly Father and He loves each and everyone of you.

I love you too!

The school name is PAIN.... hahahahahahahahah We need this school in the states!!!!

week 54:13 months! Time is going by too fast!

Hello Family!
This week was a long but very busy week!
Monday we went to the plaza and we ate and then hung out in the office waiting for the Elders to help us make videos for our big activity that happened on Saturday.
Tuesday we went to a lot of members house but the funny thing is is that we were in the right spot when we needed to be. It happened like 5 times today where we were led by the spirit to find a member in the street or go to their house to use the bathroom or something and they needed us there. If it wasnt to give service it was to share a scripture to help them with their faith. Lets just say that 3 sisters cried and they needed us a lot. Charu xanumsi li kutan! that is q´eqchi and it mean how was your day... I am learning more.
wednesday we had district meeting and we got to use fake mustaches... it was pretty great. It was for a surprise party for my companion. She liked it. We also just visited members today but it was good because we were on divisions and I was able to go visit a recent convert that doesnt want to go to church and I was able to talk to him and find out why.. he said that there are more important things to do then go to church on sunday like helping out a friend or getting paied.
Thursday we had weekly planning and it was also the birthday of my companion. I tried to make it pretty specieal so we went and ate ice cream and everything. It was pretty great. We then contacted and fond 7 news in just 2 hours. It was pretty great. Then at night the big party happened. I was planning a surprise party for my companion for the past 2 weeks and it went really well. There were lots of people there and she really liked it. She told me that it was the best birthday that she has had! That made me really happy.
Friday we went and visited a lot of people and again we did the Lords work and everything worked out. It was pretty special. But I was really tired this day and my companion didnt really talk to me... but thats okay.
Saturday we had the big activity that we were planning for. It was pretty great and we had 14 investigators nad 7 less actives. It was good and I sang pretty okay with my companion but I didnt play the violin because they thought that it would sound really cool with a flute and one of our investigators playes the flute so it worked out better that way. I love a scripture that is in Proverbs 17;17 that is ¨a friend loves at all times.¨ Its pretty great.
Sunday was good. I was able to put a baptism date with someone who didnt believe in Christ but got his answer that he lives and so I was able to help him accept a baptism date... it was pretty solid. We did divisions today and it was fun. We were able to do more service and it felt great.
This week was a good week and I love the gospel so much. I know that this is the true church and if we live what we believe then we will be able to live with our Heavenly Father after this life. I love this blessing. I am so glad that I am changing and becoming better in the mission. I love my family and I love the Lord and My Heavenly Father.
